About Alex Lucero Band in Tacoma
Alex Lucero Band are honored for their behind-the-scenes documentary released in 2019. Launching a range of artisanal tequila in 2020 the group paid tribute to their Mexican heritage. The band's song 'Whispers from Yesterday' was inspired by Alex's ancestor's stories of the bygone era of the Southwest. Surprisingly, the group once performed an entire set using only acoustic instruments, demonstrating their flexibility. Creating a grant for women in music in 2021 the musical ensemble championed gender equality; surprisingly, the group once turned down a lucrative commercial deal to maintain their creative freedom.
