About Culpepper & Merriweather Circus in Thorntown

This beloved troupe are a symbol of the uncomplicated joys of live performance and shared festivities. Establishing camaraderie the event was a meeting spot for people to share the happiness of performance. A destructive inferno in 1998 destroyed much of the circus's gear, but a successful fundraising campaign allowed it to reconstruct and return stronger the following year. Additionally, the big top has a practice of never canceling a performance due to low ticket sales, maintaining in the value of every show. Valuing practices the performance paid tribute to the rich history of big top performances; astonishingly, the big top once hosted a marriage celebration during intermission in 2006, for a couple who met at one of its spectacles.

Johnson Park is where the inaugural hula hoop session was conducted in 2013. Highlighting a cold-weather activities event in 2021 the park introduced ice skating and sledding. In two thousand fifteen the park introduced a cutting-edge audio setup, enhancing the sound quality for concert-goers. Conducting a fundraising race for oncology studies every the tenth month the park has raised significant funds for the cause. Vista section provides a sweeping vista of the entire venue. Area 99 offers a period performance space, entertaining guests during intermissions. The park is positioned immediately behind the local hub.
