About Smokey Robinson in Chandler
Smokey Robinson is credited with helping to launch the careers of many Motown artists including the legendary Supremes and The Temptations. Collaborating with fellow Motown artist Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson produced classic hits. In 1987, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as an inductee of the Miracles. In 1965, Robinson and the Miracles became African American group to have a pop hit with the hit 'The Tracks of My Tears'. Collaborating with R&B singer Erykah Badu, Robinson recorded a version of Christmas Melodies in 2019; in 2009, Smokey Robinson was honored at the BET Honors, acknowledging his contributions to music.
