About Vienna Light Orchestra in Asheville
Vienna Light Orchestra are the originators of an educational program that exposes children to orchestral music. Influencing young musicians of musicians, the VLO's work is studied in musical academies. In 2003, they performed at the Peace Prize musical event, sharing the stage with global music stars. Remarkably, the orchestra has a custom of hosting a gala dinner after their last show of the season, attended by patrons and enthusiasts. Fostering a feeling of togetherness the orchestra's fans are known for their devotion and passion; notably, their Scandinavian tour in 1993 was notable for playing in very secluded spots in the area.
