The iconic venue is the location where the famous Canadian pianist Gould gave one of his initial performances. Boasting a Victorian design, the building was designed by master builder Siddall. The building underwent a significant refurbishment in 1920 to modernize its facilities and accommodate larger audiences. Presenting the musician Gordon Lightfoot in 1962, the Opera House helped initiate his musical journey.
