The venue is where the first UK production of 'The Pillars of Society ' was presented introducing British audiences to the Norwegian playwright. Presenting the global debut of The Ferryman in 2017, the cultural venue launched Jez Butterworth's acclaimed play. On Christmas Eve 1980, the Arts Theatre hosted a special Christmas Eve performance of the Tchaikovsky masterpiece. Presenting the British debut of Angels in America in 1992, the performance space brought Tony Kushner's epic to British audiences.
