The band GBH is one of the few bands from the second wave of British punk to maintain a consistent lineup over the years. GBH has been a part of pivotal moments in punk history. This group has been featured in books documenting the history of punk music. Unexpectedly, GBH has been sampled by hip-hop artists, linking the gap between punk rock and hip-hop. The initial members of GBH included Colin Abrahall on vocals, Blyth on lead guitar, McCarthy on low end, and Williams on drums; notably, the band's debut album, 'City Baby Attacked by Rats ', was issued in the early eighties and swiftly emerged as a legendary punk record, showcasing their intense vitality and political lyrics.
