Central City Opera House
Central City Opera House is the venue where the it was designated an U. S. Historic site in 1973. Featuring a performance of 'La Traviata ' in 1947, the venue received high praise. The opera house's original timber performance surface was replaced in 1950, but examples are maintained. Presenting the local debut of 'Nixon in China ' in 1994, the venue showcased 20th-century opera. Orchestra Pit seats are for performers, but occasionally offer guest seating for a backstage view.
