About MJ - The Musical at Ed Mirvish Theatre
The show was inspired by Jackson's 1992 performance of Remember the Time at the music awards. The album Off the Wall, launched on August 10, 1979, marked Jackson's transition to his solo career as an adult and showcased the hit Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough. Interestingly, Jackson's Smooth Criminal features one of the most iconic bass patterns in the history of pop music. Showcasing a diverse array of musical genres, the production celebrates Jackson's range as a performer; in 1985, he famously bought the rights to the Beatles' catalog, a move that garnered extensive media buzz.
