Remarkably, the ensemble has been recognized for its contributions to bridging cultural divides, using performance to unite between communities. Stomp received its initial performance Off-Broadway on February 24, 1994 at the New York's Orpheum Theatre; notably, the ensemble has been featured in various films and media projects, including the documentary Stomp Out Loud, which was released in the early 2000s.
