About Chicago - The Musical at Forrest Theatre

This musical debuted on 3rd of June, 1975 at the 46th Street venue in the Big Apple. Garnering six Tony accolades in 1976, the original production set an exceptional precedent for later interpretations. The initial staging of The Musical was not an instant hit; it finished after 936 showings on the 27th of August, 1977. Additionally, the original cast included the talented actress Verdon as the character Roxie, Rivera as Kelly, and the actor Orbach as the character Flynn. Showcasing an unforgettable score, the musical has generated numerous chart-topping tracks; importantly, the revival in 1996's cast album won the Grammy Award for the award for Best Show Album in 1998.
