The production features a real-time musicians, enhancing the musical experience for listeners with vibrant audio. Notably, the original theatrical release ran for over 2, 500 performances, showcasing its success. Introducing a Broadway adaptation, Kinky Boots debuted on Broadway on 4th April 2013 at the Hirschfeld Theatre; moreover, the production's themes of self-acceptance strike a chord with individuals dealing with struggles related to their identity.
Indiana University Auditorium
The venue is celebrated for hosting innovative stage shows including participatory and audience-involved shows. Hosting the Community Arts Partnership events, the facility has worked with local organizations to promote the cultural activities in the neighborhood. In 2018 the facility hosted a concert series dedicated to celebrating women artists in the music industry featuring women in music across musical styles. Supporting student-led initiatives, the facility has provided space for campus organizations to conduct activities. Accessible seating is available across all sections of the auditorium for guest comfort. The auditorium has been upgraded to improve the overall comfort of the spectators. From the University Information Center, follow the walkway to the auditorium. From the Assembly Hall, head in a southerly direction on Indiana Avenue to reach the performance hall.
