In 1969, a cowboy's record ride was later challenged, adding controversy, In 2003, a bull was named MVP, an unusual distinction for an animal. Salmon Stampede PRCA Rodeo is a must-attend event for rodeo enthusiasts and professionals alike. Celebrating the achievements of past champions, the Rodeo at Salmon Stampede PRCA honors those who have left their mark on the gathering.
Salmon Stampede PRCA Rodeo at Lemhi County Fairgrounds
Lemhi County Fairgrounds is where the first Lemhi County Fair was marked with a special postmark in 1965. The fairgrounds' walking trail was completed in 2008, offering a scenic route for guests. A special centennial celebration in 2011 reenacted the debut celebration with period costumes and displays. The fairgrounds' 4-H livestock auction has been a key event since the 1920s, collecting donations for youth agricultural projects. Handicap accessible seating is available near entrances and exits for convenience. VIP seating may offer in-seat service for food and beverages during events. From the library, head south on Pine Street to reach the event site. From the sports complex, joggers can run directly to the event site.
