Jorge Marroquin's painting 'The Journey ' was inspired by his own immigration story. Sharing his journey as an artist through speaking engagements drives Jorge Marroquin. In 2008, he received the 'Emerging Artist of the Year' award from the Los Angeles Art Association. Moreover, Marroquin has been featured in a documentary about contemporary artists effecting change in the world. Advocating for art education reform is a cause Jorge Marroquin is passionate regarding; notably, in 2020, he was commissioned to create a creation for the Grammy Awards, reinforcing his standing in the contemporary scene.
