In 1997, at just 12 years old, Kevin won his first music competition, the NOYJF, showcasing his early mastery of the jazz horn. Astonishingly, Kevin Louis has never had an art agent, managing his professional life independently with the help of a tiny crew. Engaging in a panel discussion at the International Jazz Day in 2022 Kevin Louis added to worldwide dialogues about musical expression; additionally, Kevin's 'Silent Voices' project in 2020 highlighted social justice issues through compelling imagery stories.

Initiating a weekly jazz jam session in 1996 LA's jazz venue offered a platform for new talents.
