The venue at National Arts Centre is the venue where the NAC Orchestra performed a tribute to Leonard Bernstein. In 1984, Southam Hall was the venue for a landmark performance by the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, marking its golden jubilee. In two thousand twenty-one, Southam Hall adapted to COVID-19 restrictions by hosting outdoor performances on the NAC terrace. Featuring the Canadian premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera in 1989, Southam Hall attracted global recognition.
