About Hamilton at Sunderland Empire Theatre
Hamilton is the recipient of 11 Tony Awards out of 16 nominations in two thousand sixteen. Capturing the attention of Barack Obama, Hamilton was presented at the presidential residence in 2009 as part of the Evening of Poetry, Music, and the Spoken Word. Hamilton was shot by Burr during the duel and died the following day, the 12th of July, 1804. In fact, Hamilton has been credited with inspiring a new generation of performers and authors to explore the past. Featuring the song Burn the show illustrates Eliza's reaction to Hamilton's infidelity; notably, the song Satisfied, featuring a time-reversal technique in its plot, has been lauded for its innovative structure.
