Wiley was born on the 15th of March, 1985 in Chicago. Partnering with music teachers, Wiley has designed educational programs that combine musical education with various fields of study. Surprisingly, The artist first gained public attention in 2005 with his debut solo exhibition titled 'Metropolitan Reflections' at the age of twenty. Taking part in artist residencies Wiley has worked in locations like Tokyo and Paris to produce innovative projects; indeed, Marcus's art is characterized by its unique blend of conventional approaches and current digital platforms, a style he developed during his studies at the CalArts.
