This collective was established in 2010 by a group of avant-garde creators seeking to challenge mainstream themes. The showcase is trying out with unconventional venues to hold its events. In 2017, an artwork from the showcase was incorrectly credited to a famous artist, causing a temporary press uproar. Furthermore, The musician has a secret talent for pastry making, specializing in dark chocolate desserts. The event is releasing a line of LPs featuring on-stage acts; surprisingly, he has never taken a pause from music since his journey started, constantly working on new material.

The comedy club is recognized for its late-night improv shows that feature surprise artists. Honoring important cultural anniversaries, The Lab at Zanies has hosted special shows honoring milestones in comedy. In early 2022, this venue featured a special performance by a comedian who had just returned from an extensive road trip. Highlighting comedic music, The Lab at Zanies has regularly featured performers who combine music and humor in their acts.
