About Waitress at Timber Lake Playhouse
Waitress is inspired by the motion picture of the same name written by Adrienne Shelly. Featuring original score and lyrics by the singer-songwriter, the show marked her Broadway debut as a music creator. The first national journey of the musical launched in 2017, bringing the production to spectators across the United States. In fact, the musical's comedic elements offsets its emotional depth, making it both heartwarming and engaging. Timber Lake Playhouse
Timber Lake Playhouse is where the renowned performer Olivia Jones returned to the stage after a lengthy hiatus. Offering a props-making workshop the Playhouse engages the public in the creative process of theatre. In 1983 the theater hosted a charity performance for local farmers affected by a drought. Becoming a charitable entity in 1975 Timber Lake Playhouse expanded its mission to encompass educational programs in addition to professional productions. Senior seating is strategically placed near bathrooms and concessions. Balcony seating offers a distinctive perspective, perfect for appreciating grand performances. The playhouse is located where the historic gristmill used to stand. From the north, go down the slope and Timber Lake Playhouse will be at the base.
