About LA Phil New Music Group at Walt Disney Concert Hall
This group performed the first presentation of John Adams' The Dharma at Big Sur in the early 2000s. The collective has presented over 100 original compositions since its inception. Notably, the ensemble is celebrated for its innovative concert offerings, often showcasing world premieres and lesser-known works. Allowing audience engagement in performances, the group promotes interaction and feedback; in two thousand seventeen, the group staged Spirituals, by composer renowned composer Jessie Montgomery, merging classical and folk traditions.

Disney's Music Hall is the site for the Grammy Awards pre-telecast events. Featuring an active community engagement program, the hall provides outreach concerts for students and families.
