About Shrek The Musical at Nocturne Theatre

Shrek The Musical has had popular tours across the United States and Canada. Featuring the song Be True to Yourself, the show celebrated individuality and the significance of being true to oneself. In 2013, the musical was adapted into a successful film interpretation of the stage production, featuring live performances. Moreover, the production’s use of multimedia, such as projection and lighting effects, adds layers to the storytelling. Incorporating beloved characters like Donkey played by Daniel Breaker, the musical adhered closely to the animated film; notably, the role of Princess Fiona undergoes significant development throughout the plot, showcasing her journey of self-discovery.

Nocturne Theatre

Nocturne Theatre is where the 'Phantom's Ballet' ballet was first performed to critical acclaim. In 1930, The Nocturne was the venue for the historic meeting of the municipal cultural board, culminating in the establishment of the annual arts festival. The Nocturne Theatre's entrance hall features a hidden mural painted in 1925 that was only uncovered during a 2021 remodeling. In 1980, The Nocturne was the first to screen a hit motion picture at the witching hour, attracting a new generation of moviegoers. Rear Mezzanine seats offer a wider view of the performance, ideal for those who appreciate the full stage design. VIP Mezzanine Box are the peak of mezzanine seating, with exclusive benefits. The pedestrian pathway along the river leads directly to the theater. The city's art walk includes The Nocturne as a key stop.
